Aglaonema are plants that are native to Asia. In Thailand, Malaysia and other countries, they grow in their natural state. Being small in size, they grow below the tall trees and show a variety of colors via leaves. Now spread throughout the world, these plants are really beautiful in their foliage and dhow red, pink, cream colors on the leaves. They are pretty easy to care for and thus have become a choice for houses and offices worldwide. They love partial shade and little filtered sunlight. Keeping them near the window or balcony where morning or evening sunlight comes will help the plant to grow and remain healthy. They can live without water for a couple of weeks as well if there is no direct sunlight. These plants like moist soil. Having standing water can cause root rot. As the leaves are bright and big, one can use cloth to wipe it from time to time and keep them dust free for shiny and healthy growth. A good plant to have indoors as air purifiers.
