Plant care best practices
Lotus survives in water. They need a good source of water like a pond. Make sure that the pond water is circulated and does not get stagnated making it a breeding place for insects and mosquitoes. These plants love full sun. They need to be in direct sunlight. The soil can be the garden soil at the bottom of the pond. Having gravel and sand also helps. The water should be free from chlorine and pesticides. Lily can survive in high temperatures. Extreme heat waves can cause issues. In freezing conditions as well, the plants can show stunted growth.
The lotus bulbs shall be provided as the plant cannot be transported in water.
Once received, keep the bulbs in the water inside the home. When they show signs of germination and the plant starts to form, well, transplant it in the pond. Make sure that the plant has roots touching the bottom of the pond.
