Tree planting and counting
The science of tree planting has many factors. Choice of species, type of soil, nutrients in the soil, temperature and climate etc are some of them. Making a choice of trees needs to be done in a scientific manner looking into all these considerations. Greenverz is developing the same to assist in planning for the trees and where they need to be put.
Tree counting is also important. People need to be aware about the type of tree they are looking at or are present in their locality. At the same time, the impact it has on the nearby places and organisms. Ex – planting elephant grass in an open place can make it a living space for birds, rodents, insects etc. This boosts the small ecosystem. Counting elephant grass as an entity or spread in m2 is tricky and depends on many factors. Greenverz is taking up this challenge.
The details of the plant species, carbon fixed, last date of calculation etc can be captured and then QR code printed and pasted on the tree. Anyone can scan it and see how that tree is creating impact. Greenverz has plans to create a robust system based out of QR code to keep the data and automatically keep it updated as time progresses.
Blockchain is another technology which is being actively looked into for making sure data cannot be tampered with and can be trusted upon by all parties. Greenverz as a technology company shall always be transparent.
